Winnipeg agrees to terms with G Comrie
The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with goalie Eric Comrie on a three-year, two-way entry level contract with an average annual value of $925,000, the team announced Tuesday.
"A dream come true to have signed with (the Jets Tuesday)," Comrie tweeted. "Want to thank all my teammates, friends, family, and coaches along the way!"
A second-round pick (No. 59) of the Jets in the 2013 NHL Draft, Comrie, 18, is 14-13-3 with a 2.52 goals-against average and .923 save percentage for the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League. In 98 career WHL games, all with the Americans, he is 53-33-8.
Comrie is the younger brother of Mike Comrie, who played in the NHL for the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins.
