UFC on FX 3 TV Ratings Slightly Lower than First Two Fight Nights on FX

The TV ratings are in for Friday night’s UFC on FX 3: Johnson vs. McCall II event from Sunrise, Fla., and, thus far, Friday nights aren’t paying big dividends for the UFC.

While everyone focused on the lower-than-average ratings for The Ultimate Fighter’s first season on FX, the UFC’s Friday night events haven’t pulled any blockbuster numbers either. UFC on FX 3 was lower than the promotion’s first two fight nights on FX, drawing just 1.0 million viewers, according to an industry source.

That’s slightly below the 1.35 million averaged per show for the first two UFC on FX events.

The UFC on FX 3 preliminary bout broadcast on Fuel TV also pulled in slightly lower TV ratings, averaging 86,000 viewers for its two-hour broadcast.

That marks the first time the UFC on FX prelims on Fuel have drew less than 100,000 viewers for a broadcast.
