UFC and Fox Release Dates for All Four UFC on Fox 2013 Events
With UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz right around the corner, UFC and Fox officials have already laid out the dates for all four of the “Big Fox” events for 2013.
When the UFC and Fox first partnered up on their seven-year, $90-million television deal, they indicated that there would be at least four events per year on the Fox broadcast network.
They kicked off the partnership with the “unofficial” UFC on Fox 1, pitting Cain Velasquez against Junior dos Santos, in November of 2011. The UFC-Fox partnership moved ahead with the intended four events on Fox in 2012, and will follow up with four more in 2013.
The first “Big Fox” event for 2013 is UFC on Fox 6, which will see the UFC return to the United Center in Chicago. A long-awaited bout between Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis has been bandied about for UFC on Fox 6, but hasn’t yet been verified by either camp or UFC officials.
