Two Texas A&M starters face legal issues
Deshazor Everett and Floyd Raven, Sr., two expected starters in Texas A&M's secondary, face legal issues after allegedly being involved in an assault in April, according to The Eagle.
The pair of Aggies each face two charges of assault as well as a charge of criminal mischief for allegedly hitting two men at a College Station apartment complex in late April. The two players also allegedly pounded and kicked a truck at the scene of the crime, causing $500 in damages.
Raven, Sr., a free safety, has turned himself into police while Everett, a cornerback, has not yet turned himself in despite reportedly being aware of the warrant out for his arrest. Raven is expected to be released on $4,000 bail.
Everett's biggest play of the 2012 season was his interception of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron on the goal line late in the Aggies' road win over the Crimson Tide. He was expected to be one of A&M's key components on defense this fall. Meanwhile, Raven played in every game and had an interception last season.
The pair of Aggies could face up to a year in jail.
