Second arrest made in Stoops home burglary

A second arrest was made in the burglary of Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops' home.

Police would not release the name of the suspect because he is a minor. The arrest was reported by multiple media outlets Sunday.

Stoops' home was burglarized early Wednesday morning while the family was asleep. No one was injured, but a vehicle and several other items were stolen from the home.

The first arrest occurred Saturday. Corey McCarty, 21, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary at 6:26 a.m. in Norman and sent to Cleveland County Detention Center.

McCarty faces other charges, including possession of stolen property, larceny of a motor vehicle and use of a stolen credit card.

According to police reports, McCarty waived his Miranda rights and confessed to the burglary.

Video surveillance of the suspects was released Friday. Police say more arrests could be coming.

Stoops and his family have lived in the home since last year.
