Report: Kenseth will join Joe Gibbs Racing in 2013

Driver Matt Kenseth will join Joe Gibbs Racing beginning in 2013, ESPN.com reported Tuesday.

According to the report, an announcement of Kenseth's addition to JGR will be made Wednesday.

Kenseth will take over the No. 20 car driven by Joey Logano, and Home Depot will be the primary sponsor.

JGR president J.D. Gibbs said over the weekend he was still hoping to re-sign Logano, but Penske Racing owner Roger Penske said on Saturday that Logano was a candidate for the No. 22 car.

Kenseth had said in June he would leave Roush Fenway Racing after this season. But sources told ESPN.com that terms of Kenseth's contract at RFR barred him from discussing a new team until after an unspecified date in August.
