Report: Bridgewater to make jump to NFL

Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is headed for the NFL.

The junior will pass up his senior season to enter the the 2014 draft, according to an ESPN report on Wednesday.

NFLDraftScout.com ranks Bridgewater as the No. 1 overall pick in the May draft and the top quarterback prospect.

In three years at Louisville, Bridgewater passed for 9,817 yards with 72 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. The Cardinals are 30-9 during that time with three bowl berths and two conference championships.

Neither Bridgewater nor Louisville has made an official announcement regarding a decision on his future.

If, as expected, he leaves for the NFL, Bridgewater finishes his college career with 9,817 yards passing, 72 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.

In what would be his final college game, Bridgewater led the Cardinals to a 36-9 victory over the Miami Hurricanes in the Citrus Bowl on Saturday, completing 35 of 46 passes for 447 yards and three touchdowns wtih no interceptions.

The 21-year-old Miami native graduated in December with a degree in sports administration.
