Maryland Baltimore County 68, New Hampshire 57

BALTIMORE -- Ryan Cook scored 21 points and Adrian Satchell added 17 to help Maryland Baltimore County snap an eight-game losing streak with a 68-57 America East Conference victory over New Hampshire on Wednesday night at the RAC Center.

Patrick Konan scored 17 points and Chris Pelcher had 13 for New Hampshire (4-11, 0-3 in the America East), which lost its sixth consecutive game.

The Retrievers (3-13, 1-3), playing at home for the first time since Dec. 12, were trailing 25-23 after Jeron Trotman made a layup for the Wildcats with 7:05 left in the first half.

However, Satchell and Brett Roseboro, who finished with 12 points, each scored four points as Maryland Baltimore County went on a 10-4 run to take a 33-29 lead at halftime. The Retrievers never trailed again.

Brian Neller, who scored 10 points, hit two 3-pointers to start the second half and the Retrievers took control of the game with an 11-4 run to build a 44-33 lead on a layup by Chase Plummer, who had 11 points, with 9:44 left.

New Hampshire cut the deficit to six points on four occasions, but Cook scored five points during an 8-0 run as Maryland Baltimore County increased the lead to 58-45 and was not threatened again.
