Free Agency Wide Receiver Options for Baltimore Ravens

Before the draft most analysts, including us at cover32, believed the Ravens needed to add wide receiver help. In practice however, the Ravens only added to their offensive line and defense.

In the wake of Baltimore’s receiving core’s neglect, Ozzie Newsome would be well served by adding at least one free agent wide receiver. The following are the three most hyped available acquisitions possible for the Ravens.

Top Free Agent Wide Receiver Options

Anquan Boldin

Boldin is undoubtedly a seasoned veteran. Turning 37-years-old this year, he has been in the league for 14 seasons. In a relatively successful season for the Detroit Lions in 2016, Boldin finished the regular season with 67 catches for 584 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 games. Boldin would look to add depth as a physical red zone threat.

Victor Cruz

Many believe Cruz would look good salsa dancing in the Ravens purple and black. Cruz will turn 31-years-old this season and is four years removed from his 2012 Pro Bowl season. That year Cruz posted 1,092 receiving yards with 10 touchdowns. However, calf and knee injuries lost him ten games in 2014 including his entire 2015 season. Last season Cruz had 39 catches for 586 yards in 2016.

Vincent Jackson

The 34-year-old Jackson had his seasons hampered over the last two years by injury. From last season, his season ending ACL injury in Week 5 should be a major concern. However, in his prime Jackson was a force to be reckoned with. Jackson is a 12-year veteran who has racked up three Pro Bowl selections.
