The Milwaukee Bucks reportedly are set to interview another head coaching candidate with Warriors ties.
Just a few days after ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the Bucks have received permission from Golden State to interview associate head coach Kenny Atkinson, former Warriors coach and current ESPN NBA analyst Mark Jackson reportedly has entered the mix.
Milwaukee also is interviewing Jackson for their head coaching vacancy, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Sunday, citing sources, making this the second straight year the 58-year-old has been considered in a team's head coaching search.
Jackson served as Warriors head coach from 2011 to 2014, helping lead Golden State to back-to-back NBA playoff appearances for the first time since 1992 in the final two seasons of his tenure. Last spring, Jackson was a finalist for the Sacramento Kings' head coaching vacancy, which ultimately went to former Warriors assistant Mike Brown, who promptly led the Kings to their first postseason showing in 17 years.
The Bucks fired Mike Budenholzer after the franchise fell in the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs. He served as head coach for five seasons, compiling a 271-120 overall record with 39 playoff wins and an NBA Finals victory in 2021.

Along with Jackson and Atkinson, Wojnarowski reported last Wednesday that Milwaukee associate head coach Charles Lee and former Charlotte Hornets coach James Borrego also will be in the mix for the job.
