NBA moves February Knicks-Pistons game to Madison Square Garden

The NBA has announced a change to their schedule, moving the Feb. 26 game between the Knicks and Detroit Pistons from Detroit to New York.

Originally scheduled as an away game for the Knicks will now be a home game played at Madison Square Garden. The tip has also been moved back 30 minutes, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The change in venue favors New York who will now have a four-game homestand from Feb. 24 to Feb. 29 against Boston, Detroit, New Orleans and Golden State.

The original schedule had the Knicks traveling to Detroit and returning home for a game against the Pelicans the following night. Now they will enjoy a home back-to-back at the end of the extended homestand.

The cause for the change was due to unique scheduling complications associated with the In-Season Tournament.
