Navarro: Bulldogs surge into Saturday's Semifinal game against TVCC
Nov. 9—Navarro's Bulldogs came back again this season, and stormed into the SWJCFC Final Four, where they meet Trinity Valley at 1 p.m. Saturday in Athens in the Conference Semifinals.
Navarro started slow this season, but secured a playoff spot in the conference four-team tournament by winning its final two conference games, beating Cisco 35-7 and upsetting No. 19 Tyler 39-24 to reach the playoffs.
Quarterback Dane Jentsch had a monster game to lead the Dawgs against Tyler in the regular season finale. Jentsch completed 20-of-30 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 77 yards and two TDs on 19 carries.
The winner of Saturday's Semifinal game will move on the play for the SWJCFC title Nov. 18.
