National reaction pours in after Bronny James is cleared to play for USC

We wondered when this announcement would be made. On Thursday, it arrived: Bronny James has been medically cleared to return to the court and play basketball for USC. He will be able to resume practicing next week. Then the question becomes when he will play a live game for the Trojans. USC would love for him to play against Auburn on December 17, but a more realistic — and still good — return date is the Pac-12 opener versus Oregon in Eugene on December 28.

If USC can get Bronny James back for the start of the Pac-12 season, that’s as good an outcome as the Trojans reasonably could have hoped for. Making a run at the Pac-12 title is certainly one of the central goals this team carried into the new season.
