Nashville Predators center Cody Glass out 7-10 days with lower-body injury

The Nashville Predators' 4-1 victory Thursday night against the New York Rangers didn't come without a loss.

First-year Predators coach Andrew Brunette told reporters after Friday's practice that center Cody Glass would be out seven to 10 days with a lower-body injury.

Glass played 1 minute, 46 seconds before leaving the game. The Predators have not yet made a corresponding roster move. They will face the San Jose Sharks at 7 p.m. Saturday at Bridgestone Arena.

The 24-year-old had 14 goals and 21 assists in 72 games last season, all career highs. He has zero points on nine shots on goal in five games this season.

Glass signed a two-year, $5 million contract last summer.

News of Glass' absence came two days after the team announced defenseman Luke Schenn would miss four to six weeks with a lower-body ailment.

The soon-to-be 34-year-old signed a three-year, $8.25 million deal as a free agent during the summer.
