Nashville area basketball top performers: East Robertson's Pennington goes for 29 in win

As we enter the final week of the Tennessee high school basketball regular season in Division I, and the start of the Division II-A district tournaments, here are the top performers this week for the Nashville area.

Saturday

Boys basketball

Ayden Glenn, Zion Christian: Ayden scored 36 points and had five steals in a 61-54 win over Franklin Classical.

Girls basketball

Madison McHenry, DCA: McHenry had 13 points and seven rebounds in a 37-35 win over Nashville Christian.

Bailey Shepard, DCA: Shepard added 10 points, six steals and five rebounds.

Marleigh McWilliams, Zion Christian: McWilliams had 12 points, eight rebounds and six steals in a 29-41 loss to Riverside Christian.

Friday

Boys basketball

Chris Avery, Antioch: Avery had 10 points as Antioch beat Overton 81-68.

Maddux Bodenhamer, Antioch: Bodenhamer scored 14 points.

Jaiden Claybrook, Antioch: Claybrook led with 16 points.

Tarion Hall, Antioch: Hall put up 12 points.

Denial Cochran, Brentwood: Cochran led the Bruins with 22 points in a 52-50 loss to Ravenwood.

Daniel Patton, Centennial: Patton scored 15 points as the Cougars beat Franklin 61-59.

Dominic Reed, Centennial: Reed led with 19 points.

Sheldon Huber, Clarksville: Huber scored 17 points in a 66-54 loss to Henry County.

Jabari Jolley, Clarksville: Jolley finished with 11 points.

Kirk Weatherford, Clarksville: Weatherford led the Wildcats with 18 points.

Cam Phillips, Clarksville Academy: Phillips had 25 points, including five 3-pointers, in a 72-57 loss to Friendship Christian in the Division I-A, District 4 semifinal.

Jaylan McMillan, East Nashville: McMillan had 13 points in a 72-30 win over Stratford.

Cortez Murphy, East Nashville: Murphy scored 16 points.

Christian Brown, Franklin: Brown had 25 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in a loss to Centennial.

Davis Long, Franklin: Long had six assists, three rebounds and finished with 16 points.

Colby Jones, Friendship Christian: Jones had four 3-pointers and 20 points in the win over Clarksville Academy.

Noah Major, Friendship Christian: Major had 25 points and knocked down three 3-pointers.

Kenny Ellis, Green Hill: Ellis put up 17 points as Green Hill beat Oakland 66-55.

Mary Elizabeth Fox, Page: Fox had nine rebounds, five steals, two assists and 17 points as Page beat Nolensville.

Dyna’c Davis, Pearl-Cohn: Davis had 11 points in a 56-53 loss to Station Camp.
