N’Keal Harry, Quandre Diggs show love for each other after targeting ejection

New England Patriots receiver N’Keal Harry doesn’t seem interested in holding a grudge against Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs for a targeting penalty that got him ejected from Sunday night’s game.

On a fourth down, Diggs led with his head to make contact with Harry, who somehow managed to haul in the reception despite the penalty. After deliberation, officials decided to eject Diggs from the game for the tackle. Harry said Diggs made sure to reach out to him, however, to make it clear there was no ill-intent. They also had a positive exchange on Twitter.

“He reached out and he made it clear that he was not trying to hurt me and it was not intentional,” Harry told reporters Tuesday. “When it happened, I didn’t think it was intentional either. I know that when you’re out on the field, stuff happens super, super quickly. So I never felt like it was intentional. I think it was just one of those football plays. So I had already kind of figured that he wasn’t trying to do that. Him reaching out definitely meant a lot in the same regard.”
