MUST WATCH: Michigan football national championship win mini-movie

For the past year, the Michigan football mantra has been all about ‘unfinished business.’ It started when star running back Blake Corum used that slogan a year ago when he announced his return for his senior year.

Fast forward to now. It wasn’t a linear trajectory, and there was a lot of adversity in Ann Arbor, starting before the season with Jim Harbaugh’s initial suspension, then his next one, and regardless of his presence or his absence, wins kept piling up.

The Wolverines beat Ohio State for a third straight time, won the Big Ten similarly, and then had to take on Nick Saban and Alabama in the Rose Bowl.

Emerging unscathed, the maize and blue faced Washington in the national championship game, and managed to win, 34-13, to secure the first championship since 1997.
