TEAM OF THE WEEK

Milwaukee King

In a highly anticipated matchup of City teams off to strong starts, King proved it was still the class of the conference with a 45-0 win over Milwaukee Reagan on Thursday night. The Generals dominated up front, leading to senior Joseph Cannon pacing the run game with eight carries for 57 yards and three touchdowns. Junior Rashahn Hayes added five carries for 44 yards and a score, senior Malik Robinson rushed eight times for 55 yards and junior Michael Galloway had seven carries for 52 yards. Robinson also hauled in one pass for a 5-yard touchdown. On defense, juniors Bennett Words and Khadin Williamson each forced fumbles to help preserve the shutout. The Generals also held Reagan to 46 yards rushing on 28 carries.

The win moved King to 4-1 and put it alone atop the conference's Richardson Division at 3-0. The Generals are scheduled for a Friday afternoon matchup with 2-3 Milwaukee Riverside (2-1 City). Reagan, which fell to 3-1 in City play, will look to bounce back Thursday night against 2-2 Milwaukee Marshall (2-1 City).
