MONDAY

Rockvale's boys golfers captured the District 10-AA team title shooting a 310 and winning by 30 strokes Monday at Indian Hills Golf Course..

Blackman and Riverdale also advanced in boys, as the top three teams advanced to next week's Region 5-AA tournament, which will also be held at Indian Hills on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

On a day where scores were abnormally low, Rockvale's Zach Schneider had a huge round, taking low medalist honors with a 69, which was eight strokes better than the next closest player.

Central Magnet's girls captured the district title with a 161 as Rockvale and Stewarts Creek also advanced.

The top five individuals not on an advancing team also moved on to region play.
