Monday's Top Prep Performers: Newbury Park girls lacrosse improves to 10-0

Highlights from Monday in high school sports:

GIRLS LACROSSE

  • Elliana Dorsi scored five goals, Reagan Laubner had four goals and an assist, Micah Shin and Maya Pantoja each finished with four goals, Charli Huber had two goals and an assist, Sadie Le scored two goals, and Sophia Campbell made six saves as Newbury Park improved to 10-0 with a 22-7 victory over West Ranch.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Nikko Songco finished with 16 kills, 15 digs and an ace, Will Nick had seven kills and four blocks, and Brody Gallagher had five kills and 16 digs to lead Oak Park to a 25-19, 25-23, 28-26 sweep of Camarillo in a Coastal Canyon League match.

BOYS GOLF

  • Adam Anderson and Brady McHenry each fired a 3-under-par 63, Evan Kuske finished with an 89 and Devon Stromme had a 94 to lead Buena (10-3, 3-1) to a 438-534 win over Oxnard in a Channel League match at River Ridge Golf Club.

BASEBALL

  • Adam Arth went 3 for 4 with two home runs, a double and four RBIs, Copper Casey was 3 for 4 with an RBI, Aiden Gomez went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, David Arth was 2 for 3 with a double, Robert Juker went 2 for 2 with two RBIs, Shane white allowed four hits in four scoreless innings, James Markov pitched a scoreless inning, and Jude Jimenez struck out four in two scoreless innings to lead Foothill Tech (10-11-1, 3-0) to a 17-0 victory over Santa Clara in a Frontier League game.

  • Angelo Merenda hit a two-run home run and Erick Barron was 1 for 3 with a double to lead Buena (3-18) to a 4-3 win over Santa Paula in a nonleague game. Jesse Chavez went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Tyler Antwine had a double and an RBI for the Cardinals (12-8).

SOFTBALL

  • Savannah Branham went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, Dani Shinko was 2 for 2 with two RBIs, Amanda Baldwin was 2 for 2 with an RBI, Sydney Katz, Cambria Finnegan and Cat Anzalone each went 1 for 2 with an RBI, and Presley Waters allowed just one hit while striking out eight in four shutout innings to lead Westlake (14-5) to an 11-0, five-inning win over Poly in a nonleague game.
