How would the 2023 MLB Playoffs bracket look if the postseason began today?
Take a look at the playoff matchups if the postseason were to begin before games on Sunday, Oct. 1.
The Baltimore Orioles have clinched the top seed in the American League, while the Atlanta Braves have locked up the No. 1 seed in the National League.
The Minnesota Twins have clinched the AL Central, while the Tampa Bay Rays have secured a wild-card berth. The Texas Rangers and Houston Astros also have secured playoff bids, but the AL West title is still up for grabs between the two.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the NL West, and the Milwaukee Brewers have won the NL Central.
The Philadelphia Phillies have clinched a wild-card spot as have the Arizona Diamondbacks and Miami Marlins. The order of the latter two will be settled on Sunday. If the Diamondbacks win and the Marlins lose, Arizona will head to Philadelphia and Miami will go to Milwaukee for best-of-three wild-card series. Otherwise, the Diamondbacks and Marlins will flip destinations.
