Missouri gymnastics learns NCAA Regional site. Seed, opponents, site for the Tigers

The NCAA announced that Missouri gymnastics will head to Gainesville, Florida, for its NCAA Regional berth, which will take place. Mizzou was awarded the No. 13 seed for the national championships.

MU faces regional host and No. 4 seed Florida, as well as unseeded Georgia in its side of the bracket. Clemson and Iowa State will compete to complete the four-team bracket, from which two teams will advance to the regional final.

Missouri has a national qualifying score of 197.420, which ranks No. 13 in the nation. The Gators hold a national qualifying score of 197.905, which is good for fourth in the nation. Georgia’s NQS is 197.030 (No. 20) while Clemson and Iowa State are the 30th- and 36th-ranked teams nationally.

Mizzou’s team average of 197.185 is the 12th-best in the country this season.

If MU advances, it will face two of No. 5 Utah, No. 12 Michigan State, Towson or Maryland in the regional final.
