Mississippi State women's basketball live score updates vs. Georgia: Bulldogs in SEC play

STARKVILLE — The last time Mississippi State women's basketball played at Humphrey Coliseum, the Bulldogs were celebrating an upset win against LSU. Since then, MSU has picked up a pair of road wins to extend its winning streak to four and become one of the hottest teams in the SEC.

Looking to keep that momentum going, Mississippi State (19-5, 6-3 SEC) welcomes Georgia to Starkville on Thursday.

UGA (11-11, 2-7) is coming off a win against Kentucky on Sunday, but SEC play hasn't been kind to coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson's squad. Georgia has been outscored by an average of 13.1 points per game against conference opponents.

Mississippi State started its SEC slate poorly, dropping its first two games against Vanderbilt and South Carolina. However, coach Sam Purcell's team has lost just one game since. In Monday's AP Top 25, Mississippi State was fourth among unranked teams receiving votes.

Georgia won at home in its lone meeting with MSU last season.
