Mike LaFleur hired as offensive coordinator for Rams

Former Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur has landed on his feet rather quickly after parting ways with the Jets earlier this month. LaFleur has been named the new offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams.

LaFleur replaces Liam Coen, who left the Rams to the return to the University of Kentucky as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

As NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported, LaFleur was the favorite “all along” for the Rams’ offensive coordinator position and now he will get to work under head coach Sean McVay.

LaFleur returns to the NFC West after spending four seasons (2017-2020) with the San Francisco 49ers as their passing game coordinator before being brought over by Robert Saleh to the run offense for the Jets for two seasons.
