Mike Evans releases children’s book

Mike Evans is well-known for his life on the football field, but now he’s found a new medium to talk about his life off of it, too.

The Mike Evans Family Foundation, Evans’ charity, announced on Tuesday that Evans has released a children’s book about his life growing up in middle school titled “The Middle School Rules of Mike Evans”. The book is written by Sean Jensen, a former NFL writer who has had a series of “Middle School Rules” books for various other NFL players.

Here is the official synopsis of Evans’ book from Amazon:

“The Middle School Rules of Mike Evans” highlights the adversity Mike had to overcome in his childhood, the impact of growing up in Galveston (an island city on the Gulf Coast of Texas that was greatly affected by Hurricane Ike), and the people who shaped him most—especially after the devastating loss of his father.”

Evans played high school football at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, before playing at Texas A&M in college. He was drafted by the Bucs in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft and has since been to four Pro Bowls and been awarded a second-team All-Pro nod.

The book is available now on Amazon.
