Middle school cross country: Minerva boys, Fairless' Brice Fuller win state championships
The Minerva and Fairless middle school cross country teams celebrated state championships on Sunday.
Minerva won the Division II boys team title at the Ohio Middle School and Elementary School State Championships held at Dublin Jerome High School. That race featured three Stark County runners claiming the top three spots.

Fairless' Brice Fuller won the individual state title in 10:13.69. Minerva's Anderson Scott came in second. Canton South's Logan Howard was third.
The Minerva girls were runners-up in Division II.
Louisville's Hayden Meyer, representing the Leopard Running Club, was runner-up in the race for girls sixth grade and younger.

Minerva's Michael Crissman also received the Superman Award. He was recognized as the only runner to compete at the state meet every year since first grade.
Other area teams competed in the OHSAA state meet for seventh and eighth graders at Fortress Obetz, the site of the high school state championships.
The Lake girls won their division race. Overall, Jackson's girls finished third and Northwest's boys came in fourth to lead area teams.
