Mid-State League-Buckeye and Cardinal Divisions honor top softball players

LANCASTER - The Mid-State League-Buckeye and Cardinal Divisions have recognized their all-conference softball teams and players and coaches of the Year.

MSL-Cardinal Division                                                                                                                

First Team: Baylee Mirgon, Hannah Brown, Madyson Redinger, Berne Union; Addison Stem and Madison Clauss, Fairfield Christian Academy; Jayda Dixon and Vanessa Funk, Fisher Catholic; Emily Blevins, Veronica Rarey, Emma Raver, Millersport.

Second Team: Cloee Walton, Berne Union; Caitlyn Blair and Claire Deem, Fairfield Christian Academy; Harper Cline, Lauren Kersell, Aubrey Beauseau.

Honorable Mention: Josilyn Hedges, Madison Lopez, Aleah Smiley, Sophia Kline, Berne Union; Erika Anderson, Fairfield Christian Academy; Alexis Barch and Kendyl Bonkowski, Millersport; Malia McClenaghan, Fisher Catholic.

Player of the Year: Baylee Mirgon, Berne Union

Coach of the Year: Danny Snively Berne Union

The Lady Rockets won the league championship with a 13-0 record, followed by Grove City Christian (9-2), Fairfield Christian Academy (8-3), Fisher Catholic (8-3), Miller (4-5), Millersport (3-10), Harvest Prep (1-11) and Zanesville Rosecrans (1-11).

MSL-Buckeye Division

First Team: Suzie Schultz and Payton Hochradel, Liberty Union; Ady Luke, Bloom-Carroll; Haley Robinson and Megan Tooill, Amanda-Clearcreek; Jenna Brown, Fairfield Union.

Second Team: Madi Grefe, Madelyn Gates, Sophia Gleim, Bloom-Carroll; Averie Hutchison, Amanda-Clearcreek; Adelyn Wolfe and Kayle Emswiler, Fairfield Union.

Honorable Mention: Audrey Farmer and Brooklyn Brockman, Liberty Union; Harlie Romine and Claire Whitcraft, Bloom-Carroll; Carly Singleton, Amanda-Clearcreek, Molly Brown, Fairfield Union.

Teays Valley won the league title with a 14-0 record, followed by Circleville (10-4), Liberty Union (7-6), Logan Elm (7-7), Bloom-Carroll (6-7), Amanda-Clearcreek (5-9), Fairfield Union (4-9) and Hamilton Township (1-13).
