Michigan State vs. Mississippi State: Predictions, picks, odds for 2024 March Madness game
The first round of March Madness tips off Thursday afternoon with one of the most experienced coaches in the tournament.
The No. 9 Michigan State Spartans and head coach Tom Izzo will play in the very first game of their 26th straight NCAA Division I Tournament appearance. They will face the No. 8 seeded Mississippi State Bulldogs, who are back in the first round of the tournament after a one-point loss in a First Four game last year.
Michigan State's run ended in the Sweet Sixteen last year, but Mississippi State is looking for its first tournament win since 2008.
