Michigan State basketball releases Big Ten opponent pairings for upcoming season

We now have a slightly better indication of how the Michigan State basketball schedule will look this upcoming season.

The Spartans released their Big Ten opponent pairings for the upcoming season on Thursday. The release breaks down which Big Ten foes the Spartans will play twice (both home and way) and which they’ll only play once (either home or away).

The pairings can be found below in the tweet from the Spartans’ official Twitter account:

Michigan State’s draw on paper isn’t going to be easy with the Spartans playing four of the top projected teams in the league twice — Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan and Purdue. Michigan State will also have to travel to Illinois and Wisconsin, which are never easy places to win.

The exact date of the games has yet to be announced but that should be coming in the next month or two. Additionally, we should start to find out more about the Spartans’ non-conference schedule in the next few months.
