Michigan State baseball pitcher Sam Benschoter signs with Cincinnati Reds

The MLB Draft concluded after 20 rounds on Tuesday. The Michigan State baseball program saw one of its signees and one of its current players get drafted.

One draftee hopeful, Sam Benschoter, was not selected through the 20 rounds.

Benschoter was quick to make a move after going undrafted, getting an offer and then signing a NDFA contract with the Cincinnati Reds.

The right handed pitcher from Tecumseh, Michigan, has been a staple of the Spartans pitching rotation the past three seasons.

Benschoter is a flamethrower that can get his fastball into the upper 90s.
