Michigan football’s top 10 defensive players from Week 4 vs. Maryland according to PFF
The Wolverines remained unbeaten on Saturday after holding off Maryland, 34-27.
Michigan allowed the Terrapins’ offense to gain 397 yards of total offense. Maryland entered the game averaging 499 yards of offense, so Michigan held the Terps down to what they have been doing so far this season.
Taulia Tagovailoa threw for 207 yards, and one touchdown, but he had two costly interceptions. The third-year starter for Maryland went into the game averaging 298 yards through the air per game. The Wolverines’ secondary did a great job against a good set of receivers that Maryland has.
The Michigan pass rush got home against Tagovailoa and his backup Billy Edwards Jr. three times on Saturday. All of which came in the fourth quarter. The pass rush didn’t do much in the first half, but the second half was a different story after Michigan came with a few more blitzes.
