New Mexico State basketball schedules rivalry games with New Mexico

LAS CRUCES – After a year hiatus, the New Mexico State men's basketball team will play rival New Mexico twice in 2023-24.

Last year’s rivalry games were called off following former New Mexico State basketball player Mike Peake’s involvement in a fatal self-defense shooting of a UNM student on the New Mexico campus while the Aggies were in Albuquerque to play the Lobos.

New Mexico State announced rivalry dates for both men's games, as well as the single women's matchup between the teams.

Both the men and women play in Albuquerque at The Pit on Dec. 2 and men's teams will play at the Pan American Center on Dec. 15.

Times for the games have not been determined.
