The Mets (52-62) open a four-game weekend series against the Atlanta Braves (72-41) at Citi Field on Friday night at 7:10 p.m. on SNY.

Who is starting for the Mets?
Tylor Megill will get things started in the top of the first for the Mets, making his 17th start on the year.
Megill has pitched to a 5.45 ERA (5.24 FIP) with a 1.684 WHIP over 76.0 innings, surrendering 54 runs (46 earned) on 89 hits. He has struck out 61 batters to 39 walks.
In his last start against Baltimore (his first since rejoining the big league club from Triple-A), the right-hander allowed five runs on nine hits over 4.2 innings with two home runs.
In six starts at Syracuse, the six-foot-seven Megill has allowed 26 runs on 35 hits over 27.0 innings for an 8.67 ERA and a 1.704 WHIP.
Who is starting for the Braves?
Charlie Morton takes the ball for Atlanta, making his 23rd start of the 2023 campaign.
The right-hander has a 3.86 ERA (4.09 FIP) and 1.439 WHIP over 123.2 innings pitched on the year, allowing 57 runs (53 earned) on 120 hits. He has struck out 132 batters with 58 walks.
But, Morton comes into Friday night's start coming off a rough stretch. In his last four starts, he pitched to a 7.32 ERA (6.26 FIP) over his last 19.2 innings with opposing hitters posting an .881 OPS.
This will be the Western, NJ native's third start of the season against the Mets. He has conceded eight runs on 10 hits and 11 walks over 10.0 innings.
Three Mets have had decent success off of Morton in the past: McNeil has five hits (two homers) in 20 at-bats, Alonso has six hits (one double) in 21 at-bats and Vogelbach has five hits (double, and two homers) in 16 at-bats.
Upcoming schedule
The Mets and Braves are back in action Saturday with a split-admission doubleheader on SNY with the first game starting at 1:10 p.m. and the nightcap at 7:15 p.m.
Neither team has announced a starter for either game, but manager Buck Showalter said that left-hander Jose Quintana (0-3, 3.42 ERA) will start one of them. The Braves are expected to throw righty Spencer Strider (12-4, 3.94 ERA) in one of the games.
