Who is starting for the Mets?

Megill, who went 4-2 last season in 15 games (nine starts) with a 5.13 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. He started out the year strong with a 4-0 record and 1.93 ERA in April, but struggled after suffering injuries.

Megill was expected to start this season with Triple-A Syracuse, but is filling in for the injured Justin Verlander, who was placed on the IL on Thursday.

The righty struggled for the most part this spring, issuing 13 walks and allowing 10 runs, but he did throw four scoreless innings against the Marlins.

Who is starting for the Marlins?

Edward Cabrera, who went 6-4 with a 3.01 ERA (1.07 WHIP) last season in 14 starts. The youngster jumped into the Marlins rotation midseason and was a tremendous addition.

He made significant strides forward late last season and has carried that over to this spring. He struck out 14 batters and allowed just three runs across four starts.

Cabrera made one start against the Mets on Sep. 9 and allowed three runs on five hits while walking two and striking out four in 5.2 innings of work.

Upcoming schedule

The Mets close out their four-game series against the Marlins on Sunday afternoon at 1:40 p.m. on SNY.

Kodai Senga makes his highly anticipated MLB debut for New York. He's opposed by left-hander Trevor Rogers.
