Who is starting for the Mets?

Max Scherzer, who had his start pushed three days due to lingering soreness. Scherzer has made three starts this season, pitching to 4.41 ERA. Scherzer has run into a couple of trouble innings this season, one against the Marlins and one against the Brewers, but has been solid otherwise.

Who is starting for the Dodgers?

Noah Syndergaard, who is making his first career start against the Mets. In six seasons with the Mets (a seventh season was wiped out due to Tommy John surgery), Syndergaard posted a 3.32 ERA in 120 regular season starts.

In three starts as a Dodger, Syndergaard owns a 5.63 ERA over 16.0 innings.
