Memphis basketball's Kendric Davis listed on Golden State Warriors summer league roster

It looks like Kendric Davis is going to play for the Golden State Warriors after all.

The Warriors announced their Summer League roster on Wednesday, and Memphis basketball fans will notice a familiar face in Davis. In addition, former Tigers standout Lester Quinones will also be featured on the team.

After reports of Davis signing an Exhibit-10 deal with the Warriors hours after being undrafted, Davis confirmed that nothing was official.

This clarification came after his agency, One League Sports, posted on Instagram saying Davis was headed to the Warriors.

Davis, a 6-foot point guard, put himself on the NBA radar after a standout season in his one year in Memphis after he transferred from SMU. Davis averaged 21.9 points and 5.4 assists, which led to workouts with various teams, including the Memphis Grizzlies and the Warriors.

Multiple mock drafts had Davis as a late second-round pick or a possible two-way candidate.

Davis can make a good case for for being a solid two-way candidate in the NBA as the Warriors play in both the California Classic and the Las Vegas Summer League.

The California Classic features the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and the Warriors and will run from July 3-5.

The Las Vegas Summer League is from July 7-17
