Memphis basketball vs ECU live updates, score: Tigers without Jalen Duren, DeAndre Williams and others

Memphis Tigers guard Lester Quinones celebrates with the crowd as they defeat the Cincinnati Bearcats 87-80 at FedExForum on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022.

The last time Memphis basketball played at FedExForum, the Tigers' play prompted some fans to leave before the loss to SMU was over.

Coach Penny Hardaway said it was embarrassing and senior guard Tyler Harris said the players were hurt by it. Harris and the Tigers will try to avoid a similar scene today (8 p.m., ESPN2) when they host East Carolina.

Memphis will also try to keep from getting swept by the Pirates, who defeated Hardaway's team 72-71 two weeks ago. If the Tigers will do it, they'll have to do it without Jalen Duren (finger), DeAndre Williams (back), Landers Nolley II (knee) and Jayden Hardaway (knee). That group will sit the game out with various injuries.
