Here are Memphis area high school football top performers from Week 1 of the 2023 season:
Offense
Jacksen Lyons, Arlington: Lyons was 12-of-22 passing for 99 yards in a 20-12 victory over Overton.
Jhabari Ellis, Arlington: Ellis caught six passes for 70 yards.
Geron Johnson, Bartlett: Johnson ran the ball 19 times for 78 yards in a 37-0 loss to MUS.
Caleb Donaldson, Briarcrest: Donaldson caught four passes for 115 yards in a 42-6 loss to Houston.
Tony Vann, Central: Vann had 65 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 40-13 loss to Whitehaven.
Aidan Glover, Collierville: Glover was 13-of-16 passing for 252 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-14 victory over Riverside. He also ran for two touchdowns.
Logan Davis, Collierville: Davis ran the ball nine times for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Joakim Dodson, Collierville: Dodson had six catches for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Martez Carter, Collierville: Carter had three receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Marquez White, Cordova: White accounted for two touchdowns in a 27-14 victory over Sheffield.
Braden Gover, Covington: Gover ran for 82 yards on 10 carries and threw for a touchdown in a 30-13 loss to Munford.
Brian Shields, FACS: Shields had 86 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 70-0 victory over MLK Prep. He also had a kickoff return for a TD.
Carter Miller, FACS: Miller ran for 74 yards and two touchdowns.
Brice Miller, FACS: Miller had two rushing touchdowns.
Will Adkins, Harding Academy: Adkins carried the ball 10 times for 107 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-0 victory over Kingsbury.
Chandler Day, Houston: Day was 17-of-23 passing for 342 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-6 victory over Briarcrest.
Damon Sisa, Houston: Sisa ran the ball nine times for 149 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 83 yards and a TD.
Derrick Miller, Houston: Miller had five receptions for 132 yards and a touchdown.
TJ Jenkins, Lausanne: Jenkins threw for 127 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-6 victory over MASE.
Christian Jordan, Lausanne: Jordan had 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Marterius Boyd, Lausanne: Boyd ran for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Taysean Fondren, Middle College: Fondren ran for 102 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-6 victory over Oakhaven. He also had a TD reception.
Matthew Keller, Middle College: Keller threw for 123 yards and a touchdown.
Brandon Mitchell, Middle College: Mitchell had 102 yards of total offense. Defensively, he added seven tackles.
McCoy Pugh, Millington: Pugh threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-7 victory over St. Benedict. He also ran for a TD.
JyShawn Anderson, Millington: Anderson had 64 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan Bell, Munford: Bell was 11-of-15 passing for 240 yards and a touchdown in a 30-13 victory over Covington. He also ran for two touchdowns.
Ty Stark, Munford: Stark ran the ball 16 times for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Kollin Collier, Munford: Collier had 114 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Isaiah Cobbs, Munford: Cobbs caught seven passes for 70 yards.
Tee Perry, MUS: Perry carried the ball 19 times for 58 yards and a touchdown in a 37-0 victory over Bartlett.
Kyle Sneed, MUS: Sneed caught three passes for 70 yards.
Artez Grayer, Sheffield: Grayer accounted for two touchdowns in a 27-14 loss to Cordova.
Kylan Perry, Trezevant: Perry was 14-of-20 passing for 210 yards and a TD in a 37-24 loss to Bolton. He also ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
Leterrance Branigan, Trezevant: Branigan had five catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Kedarius Jones, Whitehaven: Jones had three touchdown receptions in a 40-13 victory over Central.

Markham Williams, Arlington: Williams returned a first-quarter fumble 28 yards for a touchdown in a 20-12 victory over Overton.
Grant Roberson, Arlington: Roberson had four solo tackles and six assists.
Beckham Deas and Wade Wissman, Arlington: Deas and Wissman had seven and six total tackles, respectively.
Tucker Waltz, Bartlett: Waltz had five solo tackles, including two for loss, in a 37-0 loss to MUS.
Brandon Whitehead, Bartlett: Whitehead had 4.5 total tackles and a blocked PAT.
Santiago Calderoni, CBHS: Calderoni had seven tackles, two assists, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in a 10-7 victory over White Station.
Henry Watkins, CBHS: Watkins had three solo tackles, two assists and a sack.
John Hampton, Collierville: Hampton had three solo tackles and seven assists in a 35-14 win against Riverside.
Eli Myers and Joseph Myers, Collierville: The Dragon duo each had eight total tackles.
Tristian Euell and Slaton Hyman, Collierville: Euell and Hyman each had seven total tackles. Euell also had two sacks.
Torey Porter, Cordova: Porter returned a second-quarter fumble 44 yards for a touchdown in a 27-14 victory over Sheffield.

Najja Williams, FACS: Williams returned an interception for a touchdown.
Heath Miller, Harding Academy: Miller returned an interception (39 yards) and a fumble (39 yards) for touchdowns in a 36-0 win against Kingsbury. He also added two more interceptions in the victory.
Jayden Bachelor and Trevor Anthony, Lausanne: Bachelor and Anthony combined for five solo tackles, two sacks and two blocked punts in a 42-6 win against MASE.
Jon Hulbert, Middle College: Hulbert had seven tackles, including four for loss, in a 28-6 win against Oakhaven.
Jamarion Parker, Middle College: Parker had four tackles and a sack.
Josh Griffin and Jaelon Dowell, Munford: Griffin and Dowell had seven and six tackles, respectively, in a 30-13 victory over Covington.
Clay Bridges, Munford: Bridges had five tackles and a sack.
Makhi Shaw, MUS: Shaw returned a second-quarter interception 78 yards for a touchdown in a 37-0 victory over Bartlett. He also had a fumble recovery.
Brandon Nicholson, MUS: Nicholson returned a second-quarter interception 37 yards for a touchdown.
Gavin Helton, MUS: Helton had seven solo tackles, including two for loss.
