Meet the members of the Daily News Boys Soccer All-Star team for fall 2023

Local athletes made names for themselves with star-studded performances and trophy-towing moments this past fall.

After combing over statistics and results, and with the guidance of local athletic directors and coaches, we at the Daily News selected All-Stars for girls volleyball, golf, field hockey, boys and girls cross-country, boys and girls soccer and football.

Although the sports and skill sets may vary, there’s no denying that this group put up otherworldly numbers this fall while helping their respective teams find success – whether that be on the course, field or in the gymnasium.

Without further ado, the Daily News presents its 2023 All-Stars for boys soccer:

Nathan Araujo, Holliston

The center midfielder led the Panthers to the Division 3 Round of 16. He scored five goals with four assists and was an Eastern Mass. All-Star. "Nathan has grown into a complete player," Holliston coach Jay Dupuis said. "His overall growth as a player through the years is amazing."

The Hillers' captain distributed three goals and added 13 assists. He was named a TVL all star and led Hopkinton back to the Division 2 Final Four. The Hiller set a program record for fewest goals allowedBialobrzeski is also a dominant track athlete with two school records to his name. "Will was an essential piece in a defensive line that helped the team earn back-to-back Tri Valley League large school titles. Will is an ideal outside back. On defense, he is physical, strong in the air, and has the athleticism and skill to shut down opposing forwards in 1v1 situations on the flanks," Hopkinton coach Garrett Sawyer said. "Will is not only an outstanding two-way player, he is also a natural leader and a role model for work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment." He's a member of the National Honors Society and Student Council and is a Unite Leader. Bialobrzeski teaches swim lessons at the YMCA and works as a lifeguard while volunteering at Project Just Because and the Future Hillers soccer clinic.

Noah Cain, Franklin

The senior all-state selection scored five goals with 11 assists. He was also named an Eastern Mass. and Hockomock all-star. Cain collected 10 goals and 23 assists in three varsity seasons. The Panthers reached the Division 1 quarterfinals this fall. He also plays church league basketball, volunteers for food drives and works at a trampoline park. Cain will play soccer at Bridgton Academy next year.

Rex Cinelli, Franklin

The Hockomock MVP galvanized the Panthers' defense all season. They allowed just 10 goals in 21 games with 14 shutouts. Only two teams scored more than once. "He has been the best player and our hardest worker for the last two seasons. He is the heart and soul of our team defense," Franklin coach Fran Bositis said. Cinelli was named All New England on top of All-State, Eastern Mass. All-Star and a Hockomock All-Star. He scored a career-high six goals with two assists, as Franklin reached the Division 1 Round of 16. The four-year starter also plays baseball and is a member of the National Honors Society and an AP Scholar. In addition to hiking, biking and skiing, Cinelli works with the Town of Franklin Conservation Agents on environmental and conservation issues.

Chris Deane, Westborough

The Rangers' captain the past two seasons was named a Central Mass. and Mid Wach A all-star this fall. He scored two goals with two assists in 2023, leading Westborough to the Round of 16, where it pushed No. 2 Billerica to penalty kicks. The versatile senior played center defensive mid, center attacking mid, and center back. He'll continue his career at St. Vincent College in Pennsylvania next year. Deane enjoys fishing and volunteering.

Matt Drons, Blackstone Valley Tech

The junior tied for the Central Mass. lead with 19 assists. His 30 points ranked seventh in the region and led the Colonial league. Drons scored 11 goals, as the Beavers won the league championship with a perfect 8-0 record. BVT qualified for the Division 3 state tournament as the No. 7 seed.

The junior led the Broncos to the small school MVADA state title. Keefe Tech's captain scored nine goals with 11 assists from the midfield. The Broncos advanced to the Round of 16 in the Division 5 state tournament. "He was certainly the leader on our team," Keefe Tech coach Kevin Kramer said. "Besides being an outstanding player, he is a great teammate and an overall wonderful kid."

Jack Ianelli, Hopkinton

After playing a supporting role to a group of seniors last season, Ianelli stepped into the spotlight as a captain with 12 goals and five assists. Hopkinton reached the Division 1 Final Four for a second consecutive year. H was named All-State and an Eastern Mass. All-Star. The Hillers won a second consecutive TVL championship. "He combines speed, agility, and a soft touch onthe ball to create goal scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates," Hopkinton coach Garrett Sawyer said. "He was the player that teams increasingly focused their defending as the season went on, but he managed to score half his goals in the final weeks of the season." Ianelli also plays basketball for Hopkinton and the Middlesex Magic AAU team.

Jason Job, AMSA

The senior was named both all-state and a Central Mass. All-Star. Jason has scored 35 goals in his career. AMSA's co-MVP collected 17 goals with 10 assists. The Eagles reached the Division 4 Round of 16. He also plays for the Boston Bolts.

Justin Job, AMSA

The senior was named both all-state and a Central Mass. All-Star. AMSA's co-MVP collected 16 goals with five assists. Justin has scored 32 goals in his career. The Eagles reached the Division 4 Round of 16. He also plays for the Boston Bolts club program.

Ben Martin, Medway

He was named both Medway's MVP, a TLV All-Star and an Eastern Mass. All-Star. Martin scored eight goals with seven assists in his fourth varsity season. The Mustangs qualified for the Division 3 state tournament. "Ben is a true leader on the pitch he leads by example, and his grit and determination are second to none," Medway coach Chris Borden said. "He is one of the most respected players in the TVL." He volunteers for National Honor Society, SADD and Relay for Life while working at Dunkin Donuts. Martin plans to study business in college.

The junior netted three goals and 13 assists leading the Raiders to the Division 3 quarterfinals. He earned All-State recognition and was both an Eastern Mass and TVL All-Star for the second year running. "Jack is a skilled, level headed player that plays the game at a high level. He makes everyone around him better," D-S coach Joseph Gruseck said. Martin works at a youth camp in the summer, and his favorite subject is science. D-S named him the team MVP after each of the past two seasons.

He ranked fifth in the Mid Wach B with 20 points and was a first team league all-star. Miereles notched eight goals with 12 assists. The Panthers reached the Division 2 Sweet 16.

Max Oelkers, Algonquin

The central defensive midfielder was an all-state selection. He scored a goal in the Central Mass. playoffs against Leominster. Oelkers is a two-time Central Mass. all-star. The honor roll student is an officer for Algonquin's DECA program. He also is a part of the Business National Honors society and volunteers in his church as a Sunday school teacher. Oelkers works at a local golf course.

Keenan Siao, Algonquin

The senior was named to the all-state team and a Midland Wachusett A all-star after collecting two assists. Algonquin posted seven shutouts. The center back started for three years for the Titans and accumulated two goals and seven assists. Algonquin reached the Division 1 state tournament and took No. 6 Brookline to penalties in the Round of 32. "Keenan was the rock on our defense," Algonquin coach Fred Zupicich said. Siao also plays for the Boston Bolts USL Academy U19 team. He's a member of the Science National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society in addition to being an AP Scholar with Distinction. Siao volunteers with the Peer Mentorship Program and the Community Action Program. He'll attend Tufts next year as a biology major on the pre-med track.

Arthur Souza, Ashland

After pouring in a dozen goals, he was named an Eastern Mass. all-star and TVL All-Star. Souza helped power the Clockers to their first Elite 8 in 20 years. He has 20 goals and double-digit assists after two varsity seasons. "It was hard to find someone that was able to contain Arthur," Ashland coach Tiago Mota said. "Should be fun to watch the next two years." Souza will run track in the spring. He volunteers with the Ashland Youth programs.
