Katelynn "Red" Oxley

Oxley had another dominating year in the pitching circle. She had six no-hitters and in addition to the 10 shutouts, she had six other games in which she did not allow an earned run. She also was the Yellow Jackets top hitter and won the Dairy Farmers Miss Softball and Gatorade State Player of the Year awards.

McBurrows came on strong the in the district tournament and playoffs. In the final six games of her high school career, she batted .619 (13 for 21) with four extra-base hits and six RBIs and eight runs scored. She had hits in all six game with multi-hits in five games.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Mike Settle
Lake Wales
Settle led the Highlanders to the state tournament for the second year in a row and for the third time. After losing last year's No. 1 pitcher to an injury, he guided Lake Wales to an 8-8 record in the first half of the season then to a 13-3 record over the rest of the season while playing the toughest schedule in the state according the FHSAA power rankings.
