Meet The Leaf-Chronicle's 2023 All Area boys soccer team, led by Rossview's Graham Duncan
Once again, Graham Duncan was the offensive engine for one of the best Tennessee high school boys soccer teams in Clarksville.
After earning first team honors as a freshman and sophomore, the Rossview midfielder has been named the Leaf-Chronicle's All Area player of the year after leading the Hawks to a 15-5-1 record. Duncan's scoring and playmaking helped Rossview win the District 13-AAA title and Region 7-AAA title.
Below is the Leaf-Chronicle's All Area boys soccer team for the 2023 season:
FIRST TEAM
Josh Henson
Northwest, Jr.
Position: Forward
Why chosen: Henson was named the District 14-AAA Offensive Player of the Year after scoring 23 goals and adding 10 assists for the Vikings as they reached regionals.
Damien Parra
Clarksville, Sr.
Position: Forward
Why chosen: An all-district forward, Parra scored four goals and had a team-high seven assists for the District 13-AAA and Region 7-AAA runners-up.
Alex Sandoval
West Creek, Sr.
Position: Forward
Why chosen: The District 13-AAA Offensive Player of the Year scored 19 goals and assisted on eight others to guide the Coyotes to a 9-5-2 record.
Chance Siler
Rossview, Sr.
Position: Forward
Why chosen: The 2022 All Area player of the year totaled a team-high 18 goals and eight assists. This is Siler's third time on the All Area team.
Mark Allen
Clarksville, Jr.
Position: Midfielder
Why chosen: Allen returns to the All Area team after he led the Wildcats with 18 goals. The all-district midfielder also had four assists.
Ethan Drew
Rossview, Jr.
Position: Midfielder
Why chosen: Drew had three goals and three assists but made his biggest impact on defense.
Graham Duncan
Rossview, Jr.
Position: Midfielder
Why chosen: Duncan scored 12 goals and registered 16 assists as the centerpiece of a Rossview offense which averaged over three goals per game. He was also named first team TSWA All State.
Bryce Duhl
Clarksville, So.
Position: Defender
Why chosen: Duhl totaled two goals and an assist and led a unit that recorded nine shutouts in 17 games. He was also named District 13-AAA defender of the year.
Victor Reed
Northeast, So.
Position: Defender
Why chosen: Reed was an all-district selection and a top player for the Eagles, who gave up eight goals in 15 games and posted 10 shutouts.
Keagan Toole
Rossview, Sr.
Position: Defender
Why chosen: Toole, who is committed to Trevecca, had a team-high 91 takeaways and was named All-District.
Alex Cruz-Lopez
West Creek, So.
Position: Goalkeeper
Why chosen: The district goalkeeper of the year made 124 saves and recorded four shutouts.

LAST SEASON: Rossview's Chance Siler named 2022 All Area high school boys soccer player of the year
Coach of the year
Craig Nakutis, West Creek
Why chosen: Nakutis coached the Coyotes to the biggest turnaround in Montgomery County. West Creek went 9-5-2 after going 1-9-1 in 2022, finishing with its first winning record since 2019, and outscored opponents 50-32.
