Meet the 2023 All-Greenville high school softball teams and player of the year
Greenville County had some of the most talented high school softball players in the state.
Here are the All-Greenville first and second teams along with our pick for player of the year. Nominations and statistics were provided by coaches and found online.
All-Greenville high school softball player of the year
Kristin Griffin
Greer | Sr.
Why chosen: Griffin was a Class AA all-state shortstop who slugged 15 home runs with 17 stolen bases and batted .466. She was on base at a .598 clip and drove in 44 runs. Griffin is headed to Newberry.
All-Greenville high school softball first team
Genesis Anderson
Greer | Sr.
Why chosen: Anderson made all-state while helping Greer win Region 2-AAA.
Tate Davis
Greer | Jr.
Why chosen: Davis is an Ole Miss commit who helped lead Greer to a region championship. She was all 2-AAA and all-state.
Hope Fowler
Greenville | Fr.
Why chosen: Fowler was an on-base machine and caused havoc on the bases. She batted .603 with 28 steals in 30 attempts.
Georgia Lieb
Hillcrest | Sr.
Why chosen: Lieb is a Class AAAAA all-state pitcher who had a 0.70 ERA, second-best in the state. She had 138 strikeouts in 100⅔ innings.
Aisling MacLeod
Greenville | Jr.
Why chosen: MacLeod batted .569 this season and made all-region as one of one Greenville’s offensive players and as a pitcher as well.
Allie McCleer
Woodmont | Jr.
Why chosen: McCleer was all-region shortstop, defensive MVP and all-state. She has committed to the University of South Carolina Beaufort.
Sarah Scott
Southside Christian | Jr.
Why chosen: Scott was named all-state in Class A by the South Carolina Softball Coaches Association.
Callie Trapp
Blue Ridge | Sr.
Why chosen: Trapp made Class AAA all-state shortstop who hit .474 with 25 RBIs. She will play at North Greenville University.
