McCall Sims commits to Tennessee
2025 pitching prospect McCall Sims announced her commitment to Tennessee softball and head coach Karen Weekly.
“Home sweet home,” Sims announced. “I’m a Lady Vol.”
Sims is from Westview High School in Martin, Tennessee, where she plays both softball and basketball for the Lady Chargers.
In May, she helped Westview win the TSSAA Class AA state softball championship. The Lady Chargers defeated Forrest High School (Chapel Hill, Tennessee), 13-5, in the state title game at Starplex in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Sims hit two grand slams in the state championship game. She also pitched 4.2 innings, allowing five runs and recorded five strikeouts.
In addition to winning the 2023 state softball championship, Sims, a guard on the Lady Chargers’ basketball team, was a member of Westview’s back-to-back state championship teams in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
