Matthew Stafford among guests set to appear on NFL schedule release show

We’ll hear from new Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford this week when the NFL releases the 2021 regular-season schedule. The league announced Monday that Stafford will be among the featured guests set to appear on NFL Network’s schedule release show Wednesday night.

Bears coach Matt Nagy, Chargers coach and former Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, Bucs linebacker Lavonte David and Cardinals safety Budda Baker are some of the other featured guests alongside Stafford.

Given the star power in L.A. and with Stafford’s arrival following a blockbuster trade, the Rams sure seem like a team destined to play at least five or six prime-time games in 2021. Their opponents this season include the Buccaneers, Packers, Ravens, Colts and Titans, as well as six total games against their division rivals.

It’s easy to find six marquee matchups within that group for the Rams.

Playing in prime time isn’t something Stafford did much of with the Lions. In 12 seasons, he’s played just 20 games that started at or after 7 p.m. ET.
