Mason Comets win their third consecutive Ultimate state title
The Mason Ultimate Comets team won USA Ultimate's Ohio high school boys' state title, defeating Sycamore Airstrike 13-4 in Sunday's championship game at Lebanon Sports Complex.
It was Mason Ultimate's third consecutive state championship. Mason was undefeated in the tournament, with wins against Olmsted Falls, Olentangy Berlin and Lebanon (B) in addition to two victories against Sycamore and two against Westerville North.
Members of the tournament-winning team coached by GA Wettengel and Kristin Bolte Baxter included William Wettengel, Adi Deepak, Drew Gasson, Jared Stegman, Sean Speidel, Mike DeBrosse, Raphael Ebdon, Zachary Lynch, Baptiste Hesse, Kushal Kothapalli, Owen Ball, Sai Pittala, Joe Peyton, Brady Smith, Jacob Clark and Zach Morris.
