Markieff Morris tweets that he would like to join Sixers in free agency

The Philadelphia 76ers are still in the process of building the depth on their roster and there are still some options out there that could come on the cheap for them.

Considering the Sixers do not have a ton of cap space, their options are limited. However, there is one player out there who could give the team a bit of a hometown discount.

Markieff Morris, who is a Philadelphia native, is still a free agent after one season with the Miami Heat. He only played 17 games due to a whiplash injury he suffered from a scuffle with Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic and he averaged 7.6 points and 2.6 rebounds.

A fan on Twitter tweeted at Morris to come to Philadelphia and he responded by saying that he has been wanting to for a while.

Morris is an 11-year veteran who has 50 games of playoff experience under his belt. He could be a potentially cheap backup option to continue to add to their bench unit.
