Mapleton softball player Emilee Dennison voted Ashland County Athlete of the Week
Mapleton softball player Emilee Dennison was voted as Ashland County's Athlete of the Week for April 8-13.
The voting took place online from 10 a.m. on Monday morning through 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Last Wednesday, Dennison pitched all seven innings as the starting pitcher in Mapleton's 3-2 home win against New London. She struck out four batters, gave up only three hits, walked one batter and gave up just one earned run. With the win, the Mounties moved to 7-0 on the season.
Dennison earned 35.4 percent of the vote (336 votes), while Loudonville softball player Karena Burgess finished second with 29.5 percent of the vote (283 votes) and Loudonville baseball player Hunter Polen was third with 18.9 percent (182 votes).
The voting polls for next week's Athlete of the Week candidates will be open on Monday at 10 a.m.
