Maason Smith, three others listed on LSU football's first injury report vs. Florida State
BATON ROUGE — LSU football released its first injury report of the 2023 season on Monday.
Coach Brian Kelly announced four players on the initial injury report ahead of this Sunday's season opener against Florida State: running backs Armoni Goodwin and Josh Williams, offensive lineman Kimo Makane'ole and defensive tackle Maason Smith
Goodwin was listed as doubtful, Williams noted as probable and Makane'ole is questionable.
Unavailable to play is Smith. Smith has been suspended for Sunday's game after taking part in an autograph signing event one month prior to the legalization of NIL.
Had Smith been available to play, Kelly said that he would have been listed as questionable to play due to an ankle injury he suffered on Aug. 16.
No. 5 LSU will announce an updated injury report on Thursday.
The Tigers will take on No. 8 Florida State at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Sunday (6:30 p.m., ABC).
