Timetable for return changes as Su'a Cravens will reportedly undergo surgery to repair knee injury
Su'a Cravens' progress in adapting to a new position hit a slight setback in the Redskins' first preseason game when he went down with a knee injury. The second-year hybrid safety suffered a "knee tweak" and early reports were that he would miss 2-3 weeks, putting him back on the field around the time of the Redskins final preseason game against the Buccaneers. While the extra week of practice might not have made the greatest difference in the world, Cravens still remains somewhat of an unknown commodity. He has tremendous upside and has shown flashes of brilliance, but what the Redskins need on defense now more than ever is consistency and reliability.
