LSU basketball set to host pair of transfers

The Tigers continue to be one of the most active teams in the country in the transfer portal after a rough season in Baton Rouge that saw a large group of players depart following its conclusion.

LSU has already landed a couple of transfer commitments, and it could be making progress toward a few more. The Tigers will host Syracuse guard transfer Joe Girard for an official visit this weekend.

A four-year starter for the Orange from Glens Falls, New York, Girard averaged a career-best 16.4 points this season. He averaged in double figures scoring three of his four years in central New York.

Girard isn’t the only one. The Tigers have also reportedly been in contact with North Texas transfer Abou Ousmane. He will take a trip to Seton Hall this weekend before potentially visiting Baton Rouge next weekend.

LSU has a lot of work to do to get back to being competitive in the SEC, but it’s clear Matt McMahon is searching far and wide as he undergoes another rebuild.
